Blowin' Me Up (Drumline
Soundtrack)
JC's first solo
offering was "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)" - the single from the
Drumline soundtrack, which he co-wrote with producer Dallas Austin.
It was released in late 2002. The song reached the top 40 in the US and the
video became a TRL staple. |

Standout songs include Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love) the solo effort by N'Sync's
JC Chasez (a tune that puts fellow boy-bandmate Justin Timberlake to
shame)... |

The fun, frenetic Blowin' Me Up With Her Love ensures that Justin Timberlake
isn't the only N Sync-er finding solo success. While it doesn't indicate
that Chasez will replace Timberlake as pop music's top hunk, I actually prefer
Blowin' Me Up, with its sense of mischief, to Justin's carefully crafted
hits. |

Apple/Quick Time News
The soundtrack features the hottest R&B and hip hop songs around, including
the solo debut from *NSYNC's JC Chasez, "Blowin' Me Up (with Her Love)." |

Dawn
While Blowin Me Up wont break any records, its surprisingly
pleasant and brings to the spotlight a man who has hitherto been little known
to the public. |

This track has more feeling and soul than Justin's first two singles
although at times the adlibs and oversinging can bog the track down. |

Launch
Case in point is the most eagerly-awaited song, the maiden solo voyage
of NSYNC's JC Chasez: "Blowing Me Up With Her Love," with the suaveness of
a second-generation George Michael, does a better job than Justin Timberlake's
recent debut of placing its star into the grown-up mainstream. |

Rolling Stone
'NSync's JC Chasez gets marching-band beats, radical tempo changes and tuba
farts on the sleazy soul of "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)." |

Teen Music
This is a funky slice of pop with a smooth electro-production background
supporting a fun little catchy tune that's inoffensive and stylish. |

The Situation
The soundtrack goes on with a song by Nsync's JC Chasez - who is obviously
trying to follow Justin Timberlake's success in the R&B world. |

An explosive performance from JC Chasez on "Blowin me Up (With Her
Love)". First there was Justin now its JC venturing out from NSync.
Maybe hell think about going the solo route as well. |

The track that is sure to surprise listeners and filmgoers alike is the breakout
work he does with NSync's J.C. Chasez on "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)."
Has Chasez ever sounded this funky or this, gasp, grown up? Easily not, but
in the hands of a virtuoso like Austin, he soars easily above his boy band
roots and, indeed, sounds destined for a bright solo future. |

"Blowin'" ups the ante with more elaborate choreography and a guest-starring
appearance from actress Tara Reid. The tune from the N Sync singer
gone solo seems listenable but comes across like warmed-over Prince. |

There's also "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)" by N'Sync's J.C. Chasez (4:30),
which features the hopelessly predictable combination of Tara Reid, a camel,
and a monster truck. |

Rounding out the package are two music videos ("I Want a Girl Like You" by
Joe, featuring Jadakiss, and the completely incomprehensible "Blowin' Me
Up (With Her Love)" by JC Chasez ), and an Antwone Fisher theatrical trailer.
Alas, there is no Drumline spot. |
