BT - Emotional Technology

Electronica and trance music pioneer BT worked with *NSYNC on Pop, the first single from their Celebrity album. He became friends with the group, and JC returned the favour by appearing on BT's most recent album Emotional Technology. JC provided some backing vocals on the first single "Simply Being Loved (Somnambulist)" and co-wrote and sang lead vocals on "Force of Gravity". The album was released in the US on 8/5/2003.

About. com (Technology EP)
The A track on this set is the Tiesto Remix of "The Force of Gravity"...The sweet vocals of JC Chasez compliment this track so well, it doesn't sound like a remix.

Columbia Daily Spectator
"Force Of Gravity," with vocals by J.C. Chasez of 'NSYNC (get over it) serves as a bridge between the rave vibe of the first third of the album, and the down-tempo middle section: "Gravity" is already destined to become a club hit, highlighted with sweeping vocals and a good dose of breakbeats.

Counterculture
Along the way BT ropes in Charmed actress Rose McGowan to verbally spar with Girls vs. Boys bloke Scott McCloud on the grungy Superfabulous and 'NSync-er JC Chasez on first single Somnambulist.

Eonline
JC Chasez helps propel first single "The Force of Gravity" to exciting heights.

Gurn. net (DJ Tiesto remix)
Ex-N-Sync member JC Chasez lends a rather sweet vocal to Tiesto's remix of BT's 'Force Of Gravity' as well - an unusual but pleasing combination.

i-Vibes
Force of Gravity is something of a more subdued affair - in progressive house territory featuring a vocalist simply known as JC Chasez.

Jive Magazine
JC pops up again as the sole vocalist on Emo Tech's next track, "The Force Of Gravity", as well. With it's Tech Mix-like loud/quiet/loud/quiet dynamics, BT should have produced this track (and most of this album) in, oh, 1997.

Las Vegas Mercury
He's also not forgotten his past, as he (along with JC Chasez of N'SYNC) throws down the euphoria on "The Force of Gravity."

Miami New Times
On his fourth full-length, Emotional Technology, the musician/producer plays host to a number of A-list guests. There's Hollywood sexpot Rose McGowan, who breathes naughtily over "Superfabulous"; 'N Sync's J.C. Chasez, who pours his soulful croons into "The Force of Gravity"; and Gang Starr's Guru, who rhymes smoothly on "Knowledge Of Self."

Muhlenberg Advocate
Another notable track is “Somnambulist” (which, for the non-professionals, means ‘sleepwalker’) where JC Chasez’s androgynous incantations follow BT’s beat – which could pass for a toned-down version of Daniel Bedingfield’s “Gotta Get Thru This” – note-by-note to its fruition.

MusicEmissions
"Force of Gravity" is a track that is a little like something that Underworld would do. Same type of vocal work (provided by JC Chasez of NSync) that they have done with voices being faded into the left and right track.

Popmatters
"The Force of Gravity", for example, turns into an *NSYNC song during its obligatory epic breakdowns, thanks to the overwrought vocals and sappy lyrics of guest vocalist -- wait for it, now -- *NSYNC's JC Chasez.

Rolling Stone
"Force of Gravity," featuring 'N Sync's JC Chasez's heavily filtered vocals, follows the same formula as the hit "Don't Give Up" by British artist Chicane with Bryan Adams.

The Star (Malaysia)
There are more collaborations, most significantly crossing into the pop world with JC Chasez, the other lead vocalist from US boyband 'N Sync who co-wrote and sings lead on "The Force of Gravity," although it is one of the few tracks here reminiscent of some of BT's greatest dance floor anthems such as "Dreaming."

Street Miami
''Force of Gravity'' (with 'N Sync's JC Chasez) channels the poignant ache of BT's trance classics like ''Dreaming,'' ''Godspeed'' and ``Mercury and Solace.''

TCPalm.com
'N Sync's JC Chasez rolls through the pulsing rhythms and slapping beats of "The Force of Gravity" and hitches into the joyful refrain "simply being love, love, loved/Is more than enough" on the techno-pop "Somnambulist."
