All Day Long I Dream
About Sex
"All Day Long I Dream
About Sex" was released to a cautious
post-Super
Bowl US climate in April 2004. It rose slowly in airplay until late May,
when radio stations began dropping it from their playlists after MTV's decision
not to air the video (apparently due to concerns about possible FCC
fines). The song and video fared better in Europe, Asia, and Australia, where
it did well on the pop and dance charts. |

Like the bastard offspring of Bloodhound Gang's 'Bad Touch' and Sam Fox's
'Touch Me', the only risqué thing about this record is JC's tongue,
and that must surely be placed firmly in his cheek. Go buy this genius slice
of dirty pop and make it No.1 forever. |

While the [radio edit] makes you dance/jump up and down/throw ink to the
walls, the [album version] takes you in a trip through outer space with a
two minute long orgasmic instrumental-only part. |

Anthemic electro-stomper that sounds like The Bloodhound Gang's The Bad Touch
crossed with Atomizer's Hooked On Radiation as performed by Pete Burns. In
other words, beyond fantastic. |

[A] fantastically filthy piece of electro-pop with strong echoes of early
'80s New Wave. |

MyKindaPlace
He's giving the currently fashionable '80s electronica sound a go, and coming
up with a très infectious disco stomp. |

JC Chasez has balls
'A.D.L.I.D.A.S' [is] a chantalong electro monster
which will waste dancefloors from Memphis to Magaluf... |

[It's a love-it-or-hate-it song] |

SX National
Combining the styles of rock, pop, R&B and the synths of new wave 80s
songs he has fused them together to make a very original and highly catchy
sound. |

Video-C
Taken from his debut solo album 'Schizophrenic', the single is an amazing
piece of pop perfection, mixing 80's synths, handclaps and Jaggeresque attitude.
[It] is accompanied by the music video of the year. With its dated effects
and scenes of cheap pornography, the video captures the spirit and era of
the song perfectly. |

On the positive side of things, the jangly guitar riff is catchy enough to
encourage repeated listenings...But ultimately this feels as cheap and
uncomfortable as polyester underpants. |
