Las Vegas Mercury
- House of Blues 4/21/04

Chasez's performance - live vocals, a well-choreographed stage show featuring blistering dancers and at least a semblance of spontaneity - far outshines that of fellow Mousketeer Britney Spears at a fifth the price.

Hollywood Reporter
- House of Blues 4/22/04
Chasez was enthusiastic onstage and is certainly more personable than his insufferably smug pal Justin Timberlake, but his band...was cluttered, clumsy and overarranged.

Entertainment Today
- House of Blues 4/23/04

Mr. Chasez seemed completely confident without the backup of his longtime groupmates. But despite his ability to take charge of the stage, his intentions were confusing early on. Is he a pop puppet? An R&B singer? A rock star from the '80s?

Forth One
- SECC, Glasgow 4/30/04

[Chasez] really surprised us with his new and innovative material...JC might not have the instant success his old wingman has had, but there is a definite quality that will see him return to the SECC in his own right in time.

Designer Magazine
- MEN Arena, Manchester 5/1/04

As soon as he bounds on stage with "All Day Long I Dream About Sex", a four to the floor dance anthem of "Born Slippy" proportions that breaks down into a Gary Numan synth frenzy before bringing the beats back, he commands the crowd in a way most pop acts could only dream of.

Chicago Tribune
- House of Blues 5/7/04

To Chasez's credit, the energy level in the packed -- and overwhelmingly female -- crowd diminished as soon as he was out of sight, though all it took was the Basement Jaxx collaboration "Shake It," the lascivious "One Night Stand," or the strip-club psychedelia of "Come to Me" to pump them right back up.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
- Chevrolet Amphitheatre  5/9/04

Oh yeah, he can sing, too. There were some high notes and vocal runs in "Dear Goodbye" that made you think it would be possible for him to just stand there and still be effective.

New York Post
- Roseland Ballroom  5/12/04

The guy is a fine singer who performed every song during the brief but explosive 75-minute set. Still, as good as his voice was (especially on the ballad "Dear Goodbye"), his dancing stole the show. At times, he had the same easy, everyman elegance that was Gene Kelly's trademark as a hoofer.

Newsday
- Roseland Ballroom  5/12/04

Never mind Timberlake - Chasez is more like Robbie Williams, the British boy-band member (in Take That) who successfully transformed himself into a self-mocking solo act. Chasez lacks Williams' wit, but his American goofiness is hard to resist.

PopMatters
- Roseland Ballroom  5/12/04

Complete with dancers, costume changes, lights, and props, Chasez crossed the line from sheer musician to pure entertainer...If the music business is a circus, Chasez set out to produce The Greatest Show on Earth. All of this is just gravy, however, when coupled with the monstrous force of Chasez as a vocalist.

Morning Call
- The Trocadero  5/13/04

Chasez brought the sweat as well as the noise during his 85-minute set, performing almost all of his surprisingly good solo disc, ''Schizophrenic,'' and a cover of Prince's "Let's Go Crazy."

Philadelphia Inquirer
- The Trocadero  5/13/04

Chasez was a bumping and grinding, locking and popping dancing machine as he sang carnally minded jams from his debut solo outing, Schizophrenic, in a voice that alternated between achy tenor and fluttery falsetto.

San Bernardino Sun
- Wango Tango  5/15/04

To be sure, the crowd loved every moment of J.C. Chasez and Enrique Iglecias. Fans also saw a world premiere of a video of Chasez's "All Night Long I Dream About Sex' on the big screens, then got to hear him sing it again live.

San Francisco Chronicle
- The Fillmore  5/16/04

The funny thing was, this butt of a thousand and one boy-band jokes rocked convincingly hard, with a lot of help from the ringers in his funk-metal band.

Toronto Sun
- Guvernment  6/3/04

Opening with the atrocious, New Wave-inspired All Day Long (I Dream About Sex) -- which saw one of his dancers quickly strip down to her black lace skivvies -- it was clear this wasn't going to be an NSYNC show.
