08/02  JC's father Roy appears at a creditors' meeting in U.S. District Court in Fort Myers, FL in the bankruptcy case involving Zen Sushi Bar & Asian Grill. Mr. Chasez tells the court that JC did not sign the application for a $90,000 loan that the restaurant's former co-owner, Robert Daly, took out last year.
08/04  according to an item in US Weekly magazine, NSYNC manager Johnny Wright confirmed that the group would be hosting a benefit for their longtime friend and ex-vocal coach Robin Wiley, who has been diagnosed with cancer. The benefit is scheduled to take place this fall at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.

The accompanying message mentions some of the producers he is working with and states that his second solo album is due out in 2006. It also mentions that he is preparing for a "special concert event" this November. [The mention of the concert event is removed from the site the next day, as apparently not all the information in the message had final confirmation.]
    RESFEST 2005, an annual, global film festival and multi-media event, kicks off in Chicago. Among the film presentations is a retrospective of the work of the award-winning collective known as Traktor. The music video that they created for "Plug It In" is one of the videos being screened during the presentation, which is entitled "Four Seasons of Traktor."
10/08 eBay lists the following auction: JC Chasez original drawing from Blender (unsigned), which was drawn for for the April 2004 issue of Blender magazine. 100% of the final sale price is to go to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief effort.

11/07 Alex Greggs posts an update on the MusicFreedom message board. JC has made some "impressive" tracks with Dallas Austin and has recently been working with Akon on some songs for the record. Next week JC will be in Florida to finish up some songs with Alex.
  A new song ("I Don't Care [What Your Friends Think]") is listed on the ASCAP Database. JC, Nathan Butler, and Riprock & Alex G are credited as the writers; it is unclear whether this song is intended for JC's new album.
11/10 In response to a question on the MusicFreedom message board, Alex Greggs estimates that promotion for JC's new album could begin around March 2006, to coincide with the release of the first single.

In the second clip, JC answers questions from fans. No specific album details are given, but in response to a question about how he deals with having to sing when he is sick, he replies that it's something he is currently dealing with because he is a little bit under the weather at the moment.

  Interview with Russell Rush of San Antonio's Mix 96.1, held during the press call on the day before the Radio Music Awards in Las Vegas. JC says that he has turned in the last batch of songs for his album; they are looking to pick the first single soon after the new year and it should drop sometime in the first quarter. He mentions that he worked with Dallas Austin on the album, as well as Timbaland and Akon.
12/19 Cleveland's Kiss FM radio station airs an interview with JC (taped the previous day). According to a listener, he told the DJ interviewing him that his album will be completed this week and that they are gong to pick the first single near the beginning of the year with the CD coming out shortly after.
12/23 The JC Chasez Official Fan Club sent an email to members today telling them to expect a new single early next year, with the album to follow in the spring.
