…Ironically, successful collaboration number two is with (ahem) J C Chasez of (splutter) N’Sync on the electrically sexual ‘Plug It In’. Continuing with the electrorock dynamic begun on ‘Where’s Your Head At’, ‘Plug It In’ portrays the old ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ proverb, although substitute a few other body parts for ‘heart’ and you’re closer to the point.

… J.C. Chasez, of N* Sync fame, does a great job on the synth-heavy “Plug It In.” This song in particular manages to be subtle and creative while still retaining the infectiousness of both the Jaxx’s and Chasez’s earlier work. Even post punk luminary Siouxsie Sioux contributes to the album on “Cish Cash,” brooding coldly like a more intelligent Peaches. What these vocalists add isn’t thought provoking introspection (i.e. “I know you fancy me/ I fancy you/ I wanna make you dance”), but a focalized anchor for the explosive songs, which can be swirling in endless directions all at once.

BT - The Technology EP
from DJ Zak Davis
Guide Rating : 4/5
His name is synonymous with pushing the boundaries of dance music; two simple letters defining the most innovative dance artist in America, his name- BT. He has done everything imaginable in dance music, in every way. His newest release, Technology EP, is a double vinyl set of gems from his new album “Emotional Technology.” This EP features remixes from Tiesto, Dylan Rhymes, Compuforic, and Attention Deficit.
The A track on this set is the Tiesto Remix of “The Force of Gravity.” The melodic trancer has some subtle piano elements blended seamlessly with a driving Tiesto bassline that guarantees a happy crowd. The sweet vocals of JC Chasez compliment this track so well, it doesn’t sound like a remix. Breakin up the next remix is Dylan Rhymes with his Push Up Remix of “The Force of Gravity.” This mix has a harder-edged feel, but it doesn’t detract from the pure freshness of the overall mix. The partial vocal mix has some funky and dirty synth loops. It is a whole different approach from the first mix.
…
BT has never let me down with his productions. This EP is the farthest thing from a let down. It will bring any trance fan to their knees to worship the man, BT.
