JC caught in men’s room video!!

Too stoked about tonight’s MTV Music Video Awards to wait for the one-time-only full-length broadcast (soon to be followed by infinite edited repeats)? Here’s at least one tidbit to tide you over:

The guys from OK Go locked JC Chasez in the men’s room and made him spill his secrets for a successful VMAs performance. While not as totally glee-inducing as the band’s all-treadmill video, the clip does contain the ’syncster’s trade secret reassurances. He encourages the guys to feed off the energy of the imported audience members close to the stage. “MTV is kind enough to say [to them] CHEER OR DIE!” Hopefully the girls won’t be too busy dying of “shock” to remember their marching orders.

Hope I didn’t burst anyone’s bubble there about the VMAs’ integrity. As long as K-Fed doesn’t rap, it’ll be safe from elimination as the worst awards of the year. And I hear that JC’s actually going to get his skinny ass on stage — with Timberlake, no less, during one of JT’s post-show NYC gigs.

Aural Fixations - Aguilera mixes big band, jazz and soul on new album
By Chris Hansen Orf
[excerpt]
Ever since they were kids on the “The New Mickey Mouse Club” in the early ’90s, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears have been inextricably linked, their career arcs remarkably similar as they grew from preteens to teen pop stars to married twentysomethings.

Think of “The New Mickey Mouse Club” as sort of like the high school cheerleading squad for Spears and Aguilera (Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez of NSYNC were also on the show as youngsters — they’d be the football players in our little high school). In this school, rivalries abound, feuds are commonplace and competition is intense.

Pre-VMA sighting

Tradeoffs

…Today, for example, I started off my day stopping by Glamour Magazine’s VMA lounge at Soho House, where I visited with the Redken salon gang, some great Shiseido make-up artists, and the House of Dereon (Beyonce’s line) suite. Then, I ran to the office to do a radio interview to promote my book. Next, I wrote a story for tomorrow’s paper. At 1:00 p.m. I hit the Sirius lounge at the Times Square W to hang out with my friend Christopher and celeb watch (Rihanna, JC Chasez, Common, the band Ok Go, Fall Out Boy and tons of other famous faces).
