JC Chasez working on a new album
February 5, 2008 | Filed Under kate news | No Comments
JC Chasez recently parted ways with his longtime label Jive records, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working on new material. The former ‘NSYNC crooner has been very busy in the studio and he recently told MTV Radio what he may call his next album. “Right now it’s called Kate or the Story of Kate. Right now I’m working on concepts to kind of expand the medium of it as not just making it an album but more of an experience so that’s something in the works.” Chasez told us that he’s been working with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Dallas Austin, Sean Garrett and many others. He hopes to have it out later in the year.

Chasez Plans Comeback Album

Former N ‘Sync star JC Chasez has enlisted the help of British rocker James Bourne to help reignite his music career.
Chasez, 31, scored several hit singles with the Bye Bye Bye hitmakers, but has failed to find the solo success enjoyed by ex-bandmate Justin Timberlake.
But the singer hopes working with former Busted star Bourne, 24, will help him tap into the new generation of pop music.
He says, “I’ve been in and out of the studio a lot lately, working with all kinds of different artists, producers and writers.”
“I had a couple sessions with James Bourne. He is a great writer.”
Chasez will release the album under his own record label after losing his contract with Jive Records earlier this year.

For the Record

Former ‘NSYNC crooner JC Chasez is a free agent. Months after his single “Until Yesterday” was released and his second solo album failed to materialize, Chasez has parted ways with Jive, according to his longtime label. He told EW.com the decision was mutual and that he wanted to “wipe the slate clean and then take on as many suggestions and ideas [as possible].” In an even more startling development, the singer said he recently wrote a song called “Treat Me Right” for the new album from his former nemeses, the Backstreet Boys.

Chasez and Jive Break Up
September 10, 2007 | Filed Under general, kate news | No Comments
By Mack Rawden
Break ups are a sad part of life. Sometimes love just isn’t enough and a couple is forced to call it quits. Twelve thousand years ago, in the first recorded split, Lucifer and God parted ways over angelic treatment reform. Some ten thousand years later, Cleopatra and Caesar vacated their relationship after the former whored it up with half of Egypt. A few years ago, Hollywood super couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston separated after a Jolie got between them. But that’s not even the most horrific. Not by a long shot.
According to Billboard former ‘N Sync member JC Chasez and his record company, Jive, have changed their Facebook status’ to single. Oh the horror! Things seemed great in 2004 when the ex boy band member released his only solo album, Schizophrenic, but over the last few summers, the relationship has distilled amidst rumors of Jive cheating with other musicians. The lyin’ bastard! It’s unclear where Chasez will take his finished follow-up Kate, but something tells me he’ll eventually find a new label.
